A Closer Look
Life moves quickly.
Rushing here… going there… things to be done.
Moments of reflection feel rare these days, and places like this even more so.
We drive past them… quickly… and then they’re gone.
Whatever is next takes over.
Mike didn’t pass this by.
He stayed with it long enough to understand what was holding it together…
drawn to the larger shapes…
to the color that holds you…
to the open sky that lets your mind move beyond.
Keeping what is essential…
removing the noise…
so that memory and reflection have somewhere to land.
A place to pause.
A quiet moment… stepping off the path, moving through the flowers…
feeling the grasses brush against your legs as you make your way in.
Breathe in the green of summer.
Let it settle.
Remember.
This is your place.
